Announcing the 125th Anniversary of Fremont Baptist Church! It all started in the Baptist Chapel Car named "Evangel" which was pulled to Washington State by train, organized by John D. Rockefeller, to start Baptist churches in Washington. There are two other churches that were founded from that same visit. They are the Everett First Baptist Church, and Snohomish First Baptist Church.
* June 3, 2017 - Open House Tour11 am- 4 pm Come to see the inside of the Fremont Baptist Church building, including the viewing of 100+ pipes for our Estey Theater Pipe Organ installed in 1924. Purchased from the Dream Theater in Bremerton. A rare opportunity not to be missed. If you dare venture to the somewhat spooky sub basement, you will be able to see the foundations and our ancient boiler. There is a part of the original foundation of our first building (wooden) on this site and the current (brick building) foundation as well. You are invited to help us pack 125 hygiene kits in honor of our 125 years since our organization was formed. The hygiene kits will be given to Mary's Place in Seattle. We will have our Orange Fremont Baptist Fair booth set up in the grass to enjoy some snacks and refreshments for a small donation. All money collected will be given directly to the Family Works Food Bank, which originally started in our church basement staffed by members of our church. That organization was then known as the Fremont Food Bank! We look forward to seeing people from the community who appreciate old buildings and history.
* June 17 and 18, 2017 Visit our Orange Fremont Baptist Fair Booth at the Fremont Fair. Once again ALL donations for Free Coffee and Lemonade and renting out our parking lot will benefit the "Family Works Food Bank", (which actually started in our basement. Formerly known as "The Fremont Food Bank"). We have a rich 40 year history taking part in the Fremont Fair. We are very proud to continue to be part of the Fremont Fair and donate all proceeds to Family WorksFood Bank each June. Thank you for your part in helping us with that mission.
* NOTE NEW DATE: October 15th. "OLD HOME SUNDAY" (gathering, worship and light meal). Starting with worship at 10:30 AM. Our special guest speaker is Rev. Paul Poehlman, former pastor. This is a time when anyone having any past or present connection (Sunday school, BYF, Scouts, choir, marriage, baptism, etc), to Fremont Baptist Church can come and join the celebration to honor our history, the founders, pastors and members. We can't wait to see you again.
